Kay Priestly was appointed to the board of directors at FMC Technologies Inc., the subsea systems provider said Oct. 5. The appointment became effective Oct. 2, the company added.
Most recently, she was CEO of Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd..
Priestly retired from Turquoise Hill in December 2014, having become CEO in May 2012. Prior to that, she was CFO of Rio Tinto’s global copper product group. She joined Rio Tinto in 2006 as CFO of its Kennecott Utah Copper operations.
Priestly provided tax and consulting services to global energy and mining companies for more than 24 years at Arthur Andersen. She was as global executive team member, FMC said.
Currently, she is on the board of directors for New Gold Inc. and Stone Energy Corp., where she is chairwoman of the audit committee.
Priestly has a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University.
FMC Technologies Inc. is based in Houston.
