Just got off the Fascination. It's definitely an older ship. Not terrible, but it lacks some things I really like, such as a wrap-around promenade deck and an adults only pool. I really, really miss the wrap-around promenade deck, every ship should have one.

Food was very good in general, but some dishes were clearly substandard. For example, the caesar salad didn't taste like Caesar salad, and the Greek salad was school cafeteria quality. Also, for some reason the pastry chef couldn't make a decent pie crust. They were as tough as leather and didn't taste much better, and that was true throughout the whole cruise. Honestly, if they used a package of Jiffy pie crust they would have been better off.

We were in cabin U7 on deck six. It was an OK room (portholes were nice) but I'd have to say that Carnival could easily make it a better room by putting more shelves in the room and the bathroom, there's plenty of space for them. Also no fridge in the room. On the positive side, other people have noticed a strong tobacco smell in this room but we didn't notice it at all.
