Donald Trump’s adviser, Steve Bannon, is being slandered as a misogynist, a sinister bigot, an anti-Semite and a white supremacist by those who know better or should.
These baseless lies are hurled at Bannon by liberals who want to undermine Trump and his unabashed, pro-USA agenda.
Throughout his careers on Wall Street and in entertainment, and as an investment banker, Bannon -- who is a Harvard graduate and a Navy veteran -- has worked closely with Jewish people. They’re defending him, and his defenders include Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who is Jewish.
It’s ludicrous to claim a white supremacist is advising Trump. Nancy Pelosi called Bannon a white nationalist, which fair-minded observers know is untrue. Liberals are conflating the hateful views of David Duke, Dr. Ed Fields and Don Black with those they falsely claim are Bannon’s.

White supremacists are evil bigots who think whites are superior to all other races. I monitored these hate-mongers for nearly three years for the FBI. Bannon abhors bigotry, as attested to by Hispanics, blacks, gays and Jews who know him well.
White supremacists detest black and brown people, and Jews and gays; most of them believe the Holocaust either didn’t occur or they’re glad it did. Many racists are members of groups like the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan Nations.
They advocate or condone violence against minorities. Every white supremacist I have encountered also advocates Eugenics. Bannon adamantly rejects all of that. If he’s in any way anti-Semitic, then why are prominent Jews like Sheldon Adelson and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach defending him?
Morton Klein is president of the Zionist Organization of America. He says, “it’s painful to see” liberal Jewish Americans “engaging in character assassination.” He wants them to “apologize for their inappropriate character assassination.”
Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus is Jewish and says, “the person being demonized is not the person I know. Nothing could be further than the truth.”
Joel Pollak is a respected senior editor for the Breitbart News and an orthodox Jew. Mr. Pollak says that, “Steve Bannon is a friend of Jewish people, and a defender of Israel.”
Another close Bannon colleague is Breitbart CEO Larry Solov, who is also Jewish. Breitbart News was created to defend Israel. Before joining Trump’s campaign, Bannon launched a Jerusalem branch of Breitbart. Its editor, Aaron Klein, is Jewish, and has joined Pam Geller, a Jewish political activist, in defending Bannon.
Noted Jewish author David Horowitz says Bannon “doesn’t have an anti-Semitic bone in his body … As a Jew who has worked for years with Steve, I can tell you he is not a white nationalist.”
Pro-Israeli reporter David Goldman says that these anti-Bannon screeds are a “sewage-storm … of lies.” Many prominent blacks, including Dr. Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Jason Reilly and others have demolished accusations of Bannon being a racist.
Trump’s enemies resent that Bannon is his liaison to workaday Americans, so they’re playing dirty by smearing him. They want naive people to fear that Bannon shares the views of David Duke, Don Black, Ed Fields and violent Skinheads.
Bannon opposes race-based quotas, but is that racist? Most Americans say no. It’s not racist to favor enforcing federal immigration laws, either, but many Democrats say so. Some even think it’s bigoted to keep ISIS fanatics out of the USA.
In politics, as in sports, sometimes the best defense is a good offense. This could explain these vitriolic attacks.
A leading contender for the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee is Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison. This Israel-denouncing Leftist praised the Occupy Wall Street movement and its troublemakers who illegally shut down businesses under the pretext of social justice.
CNN reports that Ellison repudiated his longstanding ties to anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, whom he once described as “an excellent role model for black youth.” But is Ellison’s retraction sincere or merely expedient?
Ironically, these haters who vilify Bannon are employing tactics of a real Nazi, Josef Goebbels, who was Adolf Hitler’s propagandist. Goebbels said that when lies are repeated often enough, fools will believe them.
So don’t be manipulated by these vile, sucker-punching, conniving haters. They want Trump to fail so they’re trying to discredit Bannon. If the haters lose, the USA wins. If they win, Americans will lose.
Bannon wants to help Donald Trump restore our nation to greatness. But for America to again be great, we can’t tolerate hate.
