A police officer was bit on the hand by a man who tried to fight him outside an Elk Grove Wells Fargo bank, police said.The man was acting suspicious about 3 a.m. near the bank at 8871 Bond Road, so an officer went up to talk to the man, Elk Grove police said.The man started to fight with the officer, reached for the officer's belt and bit the officer, according to investigators.The officer tackled the suspect and called for his K-9 officer, but the man tried to also fight the K-9.Eventually, the man was taken into custody.He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was on some type of narcotics, police said.The officer was not taken to the hospital and is doing fine.The suspect's identity has not been released.
