    Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, is expected to break up its corporate partnership with Sierra Space to build a commercial space station. Blue Origin has reassigned employees working on the project to other programs, such as its moon lander contract with NASA.
    Chandrayaan-3 completes second round of deboosting; comes closer to the moon
    ISRO announced on Sunday that it has successfully reduced the orbit of the Chandrayaan-3 mission's Lander Module (LM), bringing it closer to the moon. The LM, comprising the lander 'Vikram' and rover 'Pragyan,' is set to touch down on the lunar surface on August 23. The LM will undergo internal checks before commencing the powered descent. Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface.

    Russia launched its first moon-landing spacecraft in 47 years on Friday. The country plans to launch further lunar missions, including exploring the possibility of a joint Russian-Chinese crewed mission and even a lunar base. Major powers such as the US, China, and India aim to discover more about the moon, its water, and minerals such as helium-3 and rare earth metals, which are used in smartphones, computers, and advanced technologies. The law regarding moon mining is unclear.

    "I think 2008-9-10 was a storm led by government policy, when 10-12 new licences were given mindlessly, recklessly, giving the existing spectrum pools that we had and completely diminishing the hopes of existing telecom companies. Your revenues eroded, your profits eroded, market share eroded because you got fragmented. It was less of a storm than in 2003. But by that time, we had become a reasonably solid company," said Sunil Mittal.
