Stereosonic 2015: Social media takes aim at shirtless men

SOCIAL media has poked fun at the unofficial uniform of the Stereosonic music festival - tight shorts, no shirts, fake tan and muscles.

The 2015 event at Sydney Olympic Park had no shortage of well-built men showing off their physiques and tattoos with Facebook feeds dominated with selfies and group shots.

This was despite festival co-founder Frank Cotela’s rant last year about the muscle culture dominating Stereosonic.

“Brother EVERYONE is laughing at your shorts, singlets, fake tans, bumbags and cartoon shaped bodies,” he posted.

“If it means that we will profile you at entry point and stop you entering - you will be stopped’.

The threat was not a deterrent and neither was the 23C and overcast skies that greeted revellers.

Some on social media chose to make fun while other called for an end to the displays of machoism.
