Global Knowledge Launches Annual IT Skills and Salary Survey

Global Knowledge, the world's leading learning services and professional development solutions provider, today announced the launch of its ninth annual IT Skills and Salary Survey.

The survey, one of the most comprehensive of its kind in the industry, addresses issues relevant to IT and business professionals, including salaries for key certifications, emerging trends and factors impacting job satisfaction and compensation.

The 2016 IT Skills and Salary Survey is designed to collect, aggregate, analyze and share the salaries of IT and business professionals and the key reasons for year-over-year change.

This year’s edition includes questions directed to IT decision-makers to learn more about the most in-demand IT skills, skills shortages and their impact, as well as the most challenging technology areas for which to find qualified talent.

Key findings from last year’s IT salary survey, which yielded more than 16,300 responses from around the world, included:

  • IT security topped the list of skills that IT decision-makers said their teams needed most, followed by networking and cloud computing.
  • Seventy-five percent of respondents reported receiving a raise.
  • Thirty-six percent of IT decision-makers reported measurable gaps in their IT groups’ technical skill sets.

Professionals from all areas of business and IT are invited to take part in this important research before November 6, 2015.

The survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Participants will receive a copy of the final report, and they will have the option to be entered into a drawing to win one of eight $250 American Express gift cards.
