Inland Real Estate recognized for environmental efforts

Inland Real Estate Group was honored with a Special Recognition Award by The Conservation Foundation for managing the sale of a sensitive area of land along the Fox River.

Chairman and CEO Dan Goodwin was instrumental in rescuing the sale of 300 acres along the Fox River south of Yorkville, nestled between Silver Springs State Park and Hoover Forest Preserve. It's the largest property along that stretch and was critical to connect the open space areas.

Along with assistance from The Conservation Foundation, Inland worked with an environmentally conscious purchaser to successfully engineer a sale and the Kendall Forest Preserve District is now interested in the land to connect with Hoover Forest Preserve.

The award was accepted by Inland Development President Anthony Casaccio at The Conservation Foundation's Spring Luncheon at Fishermen's Inn in Elburn last month.
