Inland Real Estate recognized for environmental efforts

Inland Real Estate Group was honored with a Special Recognition Award by The Conservation Foundation for managing the sale of a sensitive area of land along the Fox River.

Chairman and CEO Dan Goodwin was instrumental in rescuing the sale of 300 acres along the Fox River south of Yorkville, nestled between Silver Springs State Park and Hoover Forest Preserve. It's the largest property along that stretch and was critical to connect the open space areas.

Along with assistance from The Conservation Foundation, Inland worked with an environmentally conscious purchaser to successfully engineer a sale and the Kendall Forest Preserve District is now interested in the land to connect with Hoover Forest Preserve.

The award was accepted by Inland Development President Anthony Casaccio at The Conservation Foundation's Spring Luncheon at Fishermen's Inn in Elburn last month.

The Inland Real Estate Group, headquartered in Oak Brook, is one of the nation's leading providers of commercial real estate services.

The Conservation Foundation is one of the region's largest and oldest private conservation organizations - with more than 4,000 members and donors and more than 500 volunteers who contribute 20,000 hours per year.

Work is focused in DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties to preserve and restore nature in your neighborhood. Find out more at theconservationfoundation.org.
