Cognizant acquires Idea Couture

U.S.-based IT services major Cognizant announced the acquisition of Toronto-based digital innovation and design company, Idea Couture.

This acquisition will help the New Jersey-headquartered Cognizant in its digital business and also enable its client to succeed in the digital economy, according to a company statement.

Cognizant which employs its significant workforce in India, said that the rapid rise of a new generation of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, mobility, business analytics, cloud services, and the Internet of Things, is disrupting every industry.

Helping clients

“The Idea Couture team’s capabilities accelerate our ability to help clients transform their customer experiences, core business processes, partner relationships, and supporting systems,” said Gajen Kandiah, Executive Vice President, Cognizant Digital Works.

Idea Couture, which counts Samsung, PepsiCo, Cox, Citi Ventures and Kroger among others as its clients has offices in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. The company also employs more than 170 social scientists, strategists, anthropologists, user experience experts, designers, and connected product developers serving leading companies across multiple industries.

“Building on our recently announced partnership with ReD Associates, this acquisition further advances our strategy to bring together world-class capabilities in behavioural insight, strategy, design, and technology to deliver innovative and impactful solutions for our clients in banking, insurance, life sciences, and other key industries,” he said.
