Joe Bell, a 2011 graduate of Pottsgrove and Mansfield University’s all-time leading scorer, has signed a professional contract to play with Ciudad Autonoma de Melilla Enrique Soler of the Spanish Basketball League.

Bell averaged 18.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds a game over his four-year career at Mansfield and was a four-time All-PSAC East selection. The 6-foot-6 forward scored 1,904 career points to eclipse the previous Mansfield scoring leader Tommy Harvey (Pottstown High School) at 1,778 points. He also ranks sixth in all-time rebounding with 737 career boards.

Bell earned his undergraduate degree from Mansfield this past May.

The Pottstown, Pa. native is one of just two Americans listed on CAM E. Soler’s roster along with Joe Graessle from NCAA Division II Tiffin (Ohio). The remainder of the 17-man roster is made up of Spanish nationals.

Bell made his professional debut back in March with the Schuylkill Firedogs of the Eastern Basketball Alliance.
