Sheriff’s Office

There were 51 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday. At that time, there were 1,222 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,411. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.

Stockton Police

Robbery: A 20-year-old woman met a man about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at a business in the 1400 block of North Center Street after making arrangements on Craigslist to sell a laptop computer. After taking to the man for several minutes, the man grabbed the computer and fled the business. The woman chased after him, but the man got away. He was described as a college-aged black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds with black hair, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Auto theft arrest: Officers located a stolen automobile at 3:23 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Delhi Avenue. Jonathan Cachero, 19, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and other related crimes.

Stockton Fire

The Stockton Fire Department responded to 103 calls for service in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday, including four vehicle accidents, 82 medical calls and four structure fires.
