Hart celebrates ‘Oceana at Work’ mural

After researching for a number of years, the possibility of a mural in downtown Hart the Hart Main Street Program (HMS)proudly hosted a dedication ceremony Monday evening, July 11 for the city’s first public art piece “Oceana at Work.”

The mural was installed on the north wall of La Fiesta Restaurant facing the Hart Commons earlier this summer with the hope of providing a catalyst for further development in downtown Hart.

HMS commissioned Grand Rapids artist Roger Timermanis, to research and then design a montage honoring the rich work history of Oceana County. Timermanis is a graduate of the Kendall College of Art and Design and has works featured in many private and public collections around the country.
