Protandim Dietary Supplement Recalled

LifeVantage announced a voluntary recall of Protandim, the Nrf2 Synergizer dietary supplement. This recall is due to the possible inclusion of small metal fragments originally discovered in batches of turmeric extract. This ingredient was purchased from a third party supplier.

The affected lot numbers were distributed in the U.S. and Japan between July 2012 and November 2012:

Consumers who have received bottles of Protandim from the lot numbers identified are encouraged to stop using the product. LifeVantage will reach out to potentially affected consumers.

Protandim is a daily dietary supplement that reduces oxidative stress in humans through Nrf2 activation, a regulator of survival genes.
