In trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (XBI) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT), up about 24.7% and shares of Exelixis (EXEL), up about 5.5% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), off about 1.4% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Cobalt International Energy (CIE), lower by about 7.4%, and shares of PBF Energy (PBF), lower by about 6% on the day.
