Teddy Bridgewater featured in new commercial for Pepsi

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is featured in an advertisement for soft drink giant Pepsi, which has been airing on NFL Network recently.

Today, I was tuning into NFL network to see if the Minnesota Vikings were getting any love, and I was surprised to see a commercial that I hadn’t seen before.  Not only is that a rare occurrence, but the advertisement featured one of the members of our beloved Minnesota Vikings!

The commercial was for Pepsi.  The scene was Buffalo Wild Wings, where fans were watching a Minnesota Vikings game on the television and cheering along.  Up on the screen, Teddy Bridgewater was dropping back for a pass.  And I’ll let you see the rest for yourself.

During the commercial, Teddy Bridgewater throws a pass.  The announcer says that the quarterback threw a back shoulder pass on a dime.  Bridgewater exits the TV screen and appears standing next to one of the fans standing in Buffalo Wild Wings.  He says “Do you mind?” to the gentleman, who stands there with a look of awe on his face.

Bridgewater then grabs his glass of Pepsi from the table and takes a drink.  The announcers exclaim “WHOA!  AND HE CONNECTS!”, then Bridgewater poses for a photograph with the fan, and the picture that was just taken appears on the television screen behind them.

Finally, the fan is showing the picture to his buddy, who has a look of disbelief on his face.  And announcer on the TV says “Let’s see him try to explain that one on the sideline.”

Pepsi is the official soft drink of the NFL, so it makes sense to have an NFL player in the commercial, I was just a bit surprised to see Teddy Bridgewater in the starring role.  It’s great to see him getting some exposure and media attention, as Minnesota Vikings fans seem to really like their 23-year-old quarterback.
