Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace

Back in November, tucked inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement announcement this morning was the news that the royal couple will be living in Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. And the royal wedding is proof that Markle is enjoying her new home.

Within the embroidery of her gorgeous 16 1/2-foot veil, Markle hid Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox), which grows in front of Nottingham Cottage, in addition to the distinctive flora from each of the 53 Commonwealth countries.

She also chose to include the flower in her coat of arms, which was first shared publicly in late May.

The apartment, which is located very close to Will and Kate and their children, who live in Kensington Palace, was reportedly designed by Sir Christopher Wren (though we're sure Markle will put her own spin on the space), and was at one point occupied by Princess Diana's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have recently lived there as well.

Per the Telegraph, the cozy space is sometimes referred to as "Nott Cott," by royal insiders and is hardly your standard two-bedroom. It also features two reception rooms, a bathroom, and a garden.

While it was previously considered taboo for unmarried couples, especially of the royal variety, to live together before marriage, Prince Harry is hardly the first. Will and Kate lived together for several years before tying the knot.

And Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank reportedly just moved in next door to the newly named Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
