Bob’s Discount Furniture has announced that it will open its store at Broadcasting Square shopping center, Spring Township, on Sept. 3.

It will be the 63rd store for the Manchester, Conn.-based chain that has been making an aggressive push into the greater Philadelphia market.

Bob’s, which will be located between Barnes & Noble and Ulta, will be holding a grand opening celebration the entire Labor Day Weekend with balloon clowns and face painting Sept. 3 through Sept. 7.

Former Philadelphia Eagles players Sean Landeta and Fred Barnett are scheduled to appear on Sept. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The store will be 19,653 square feet and will offer “a vast selection” of discount furniture, according to Bob’s website.

Bob’s is taking the spot vacated by Office Depot in the spring. It will put Broadcasting Square at 100 percent capacity.

Additionally, the store offers customers a complimentary cafe featuring coffee, ice cream, cookies and candy every day.
