Netflix is definitely planning on bringing a fifth season of Arrested Development to subscribers.
Just one day after producer Brian Grazer revealed that creator Mitchell Hurwitz is putting together his writing team, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos revealed more details.
Speaking to reporters at the TCA press tour, Sarandos said: "We are plugging along. It's a long, complex deal to make, talent is very busy.
"The intent [is] to have a new season of Arrested Development, and all negotiations are underway."
Grazer initially suggested that season five would comprise 17 new episodes, although more recently he clarified that a storyline will ultimately determine the length.
Meanwhile, cast member Jessica Walter has already started revealing spoilers for the new Arrested Development episodes.
Arrested Development won six Primetime Emmy Awards during its original run on Fox between 2003 and 2006.
