Canadian Methes Energies to Export 1 million gallons of Biodiesel to U.S.

In Canada, Methes Energies International Ltd. plans to export 1 million gallons of biodiesel per month to the U.S. The monthly shipments will require 40 railcars of biodiesel and will allow Methes Energies to bring its Sombra facility to full capacity. The company projects monthly sales to equal $4 million, which will allow the company to increase capacity in the future. The deal follows Methes Energies’s qualification as an importer of record, allowing it to generate Renewable Identification Numbers and sell directly to U.S. buyers.
