The new project, which consists of 2,000-plus luxury houses and apartments in Shilong, will be ready for occupation in 2013.

Sun Hung Kai Properties has a long-term partnership with Leo Burnett Hong Kong, which crafted advertising campaigns for large properties projects including Latitude and the new Cruise Terminal in Kowloon.

It is understood Leo Burnett Guangzhou won the pitch against three or four undisclosed 4A agencies from Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The agency will work on this residential project from scratch, including the naming and logo, communications strategies and promotional collaterals.

Jeff Ho, MD of the agency, said, "Shilong in Guangzhou is the manufacturing base for leather factories opened by Taiwanese and Hong Kong businessmen. There is a growing population of newly rich in the South China region."
