Hoists Direct Makes Strategic Investment In End-Of-Life Columbus McKinnon Hoist Parts

Hoists Direct, top global distributor of hoists, cranes, below-the-hook lifting devices and winches, announced today that the company has completed the purchase of a portfolio of end-of-life Columbus McKinnon (CM) parts for an undisclosed price. The portfolio includes Lift-Tech International parts, Budgit electric chain hoist parts and Shaw Box wire rope hoist parts. The seller acquired the portfolio of parts from a former CM parts distributor that represented the Lift-Tech International brand for over 40 years.

"Many old CM parts are no longer produced and difficult to find within the marketplace. The CM parts portfolio will allow us to provide replacement parts for older generation Budgit and Shaw-Box hoists manufactured by Lift-Tech International and still used by many of our industrial customers" says Joseph Collins, founder of Hoists Direct.
