Vinay Pathak, an award-winning performer, will present ‘Nothing Like Lear’, a play based on William Shakespeare’s ‘King Lear’ on October 10, 7 pm at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, 16th Cross, Gayathri Devi Park Extension, Malleswaram. The play is directed by Rajat Kapoor. It is about a clown who makes everyone laugh and has no scope for depression. But soon, this clown is old and deserted by his loved ones and falls into depression.

But he must perform this play about an old man and his three daughters. Through the eyes of an ageing clown, a man, a father, an outcast and child, re-live an entire life to arrive at one single moment of preciousness. The play is a curtain raiser to Indian Theatre Festival 2015, India’s biggest theatre extravaganza, in aid of @Smile foundation & HCG Cancer Foundation. Tickets are priced from Rs 300 to Rs 1,500.
