The long departure of DigitalGlobe from Longmont is over.

This week DigitalGlobe Inc. (NYSE: DGI) confirmed that is has finished its move from its former headquarters at 1601 Dry Creek Drive to its new corporate headquarters in Westminster.

The company is now based at 1300 W. 120th Ave.

DigitalGlobe is a provider of high-resolution satellite images.

“This transition to Westminster has been a very positive experience for our team members and we are happy to be part of this community,” said senior director of corporate communications Nancy Coleman in a new release Wednesday. “And we’d like to thank the local community and city, county and state officials who have been supportive and welcoming throughout this process.”

DigitalGlobe is still working on renovations to the 480,000-square-foot building which will eventually be home to more than 1,000 employees.

When DigitalGlobe announced its move to Westminster in 2013, the company had 750 employees in Longmont and was the city’s third-largest private employer.
