How To Live Stream The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015 For Free!

It’s Turkey Day! That means that all over the country, families are coming together to break bread and carve a big fat roasted bird. But Thanksgiving isn’t just about the big dinner — it’s also about the amazing Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in 1924 and since then it’s become not only a national treasure, but a reflection of our ever-changing culture. Today you can check out the parade via the internet! Here’s how!

Macy’s has an official live stream on Facebook that you can find by clicking here.  Note that it’s asking you to “like” the page to see the parade in high definition.

EarthCam also offers a free live stream of the event, but there is a caveat. It seems that the streaming service is only available at Columbus Circle. While that’s a major stop on the route, it’s not Herald Square. Click here to watch the parade on EarthCam.

NBC is covering the live broadcast on cable, but you should also be able to use your cable provider login at NBC.com/live to catch it on your computer. Note: You do need to have a cable TV subscription (or the passwords of someone who does) for this option to work. Click here for NBC Live.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will start at 9 AM EST and will last until noon. Click here for a full rundown of participants and a detailed parade route. You can also download an app for more intel on the big event.
