Turkcell Launches New Affordable Smartphone T70 With 4.5G Speed

Turkcell TKC disclosed that it added a new smartphone to its own-branded smartphone family T-Series following the launch of 4.5G on April 1. According to the company, its T70, brand new, LTE-compatible smartphone, was launched at a press conference held in Istanbul.

Turkcell said that the Category 4 device supported LTE speeds of a maximum of 150 Mbps while its network offered the quickest LTE speeds available on commercial devices on the back of LTE Advanced Pro and carrier aggregation technologies. The company added that the new T70 comes with preloaded applications and advantages.

The company indicated that customers would get 5 GB of mobile data per month for use on its IP-based communication platform BiP; three months of free membership for Turkcell's music app Fizy; 50 GB of free storage on Turkcell's personal Smart Cloud throughout their contact period, and 5 GB of mobile data for use on Turkcell's TV platform Turkcell TV+ for the first 6 months.

Turkcell indicated its subscribers who buy T Tablet would gain from 1 GB 4.5G mobile internet every month for the first six months; 5 GB per month for Turkcell TV+ for the first six months; and 50 GB of free storage on Turkcell's personal Smart Cloud throughout their contact period.

The company's EVP for Sales, Murat Erkan, commented at the press conference, "We have built one of the strongest 4.5G networks in the world and have expanded the scope of our mobile services to meet the demands and the needs of our customers. With T70 and T Tablet, we are taking the final step in enabling our customers to benefit from this new world of opportunities at affordable prices."
