A trial is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 28 for Marc and Lori Wittenberg of Solon, who are facing drug trafficking and possession charges.

Marc, 48, and Lori, 49, were arrested Feb. 3 after the Southeast Area Law Enforcement Narcotics Task Force searched the couple’s home and discovered more than 19 pounds of marijuana along with guns, scales and packaging materials.

Each was charged with two counts of drug trafficking, two counts of drug possession and one count of possessing criminal tools.

A hearing will precede the trial at 2 p.m. Sept. 21.

Roger Synenberg of Synenberg and Associates LLC in Cleveland, the attorney representing Marc, and Larry Zukerman and S. Michael Lear of Zukerman Daiker and Lear Co. LPA in Cleveland, who are representing Lori, have been meeting with Judge Joseph Russo in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for pre-trial conferences since early March.
