LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tempur-Pedic has simplified the pricing structure of its mattress line and now offers consistent price step-ups across all product lines, the company said.

Scott Thompson, CEO of Tempur Sealy International, provided insights on Tempur-Pedic’s merchandising moves in a recent conference call with analysts.

“We’ve listened to feedback from our bedding customers and we’re simplifying the pricing structure of Tempur-Pedic mattresses in North America,” he said. “Pricing step-ups are now consistent across all Tempur-Pedic product lines. And we’re making it easier for retailers to present products to customers and for customers to find the right product.”

Tempur-Pedic LegacyThompson also talked about Tempur-Pedic’s Legacy mattress, which celebrates the company’s 25 years in the U.S. market. He said that limited-edition mattress is priced at $2,499 for a queen set, “and we expect it to drive growth in the $2,000 to $3,000 segment. As you might recall, this is a pricing segment Tempur-Pedic has trouble with in 2016.”

He said the Tempur-Pedic brand will be backed this year with a new “Tempur-Pedic Sleep is Power” campaign, which features real-life, high-performing people who will talk about how sleeping on Tempur-Pedic beds has changed their lives.
