Good news for McDonald's and Papa John's shareholders this week. The boards of both chains declared quarterly dividends for company shareholders late Thursday, according to separate news releases.
In Chicago, McDonald's said it will pay a quarterly cash dividend of 89 cents per share on Sept. 16 to all shareholders of record at the close of business Sept. 1.
Meanwhile, in Louisville, Papa John's said its board approved a 14 percent increase in the quarterly dividend for Papa John's International Inc. common stock. This equates to a quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share, or 80 cents annually. Papa John's will pay out on Aug. 19 to all shareholders of record at close of business Aug. 8, the company said in its news release.
