AISHE workshop to be conducted at Gokhale College

MIS covers information from all the institutions in the state which are pertaining higher education in streams Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Law and other non-engineering courses. The similar workshops were conducted earlier in Sangli and Satara districts too.The AISHE is the program initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the union government and is important for the policy making. The university has been regularly sending the academic data within the stipulated deadline for the respective academic year, said a university official.AISHE covers information of an educational institute on enrolment at various levels, human resources, infrastructure, income and the expenditure. There is no restriction on a specific course and almost all the courses which may include arts, science, agriculture, teacher education, management, and engineering including polytechnics, medical and nursing are in it.The varsity official said that apart from AISHE, the nodal officers will also get the information on the Management Information System (MIS). Kolhapur: The Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) will conduct workshop for the nodal officers in the affiliated colleges, who are associated with the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) on February 23 at city based Gopal Krishna Gokhale College, stated a circular from the university on February 9.The attendance to the said workshop by the designated nodal officers is mandatory and the colleges should make sure their representative remain present there, stated the circular.According to the university official, conducting the workshop is a routine academic year activity, to make sure the required data uploaded by the colleges remain accurate enough.
