Jackie Kennedy’s summer house, ‘Lasata,’ just cut $4M from the asking price

Lasata, the estate at 121 Further Lane in East Hampton village where Jackie Kennedy Onassis used to summer, just cut $4 million off its asking price.

The entire estate is actually on the market as two separate parcels—one 7.15-acre piece where the main house, pool, and guest house sits, and the other four acres with tennis courts.

The total 11-acre estate came on the market in September of 2016 with a $53.99 million price tag, while the main house was offered at $38,995,000.

The main house is now asking $34,995,000 under listing agents Carol Nobbs and Eileen O’Neill of Douglas Elliman, Susan Breitenbach of Corcoran Group Real Estate, and Peter Turino of Brown Harris Stevens.

The property is currently in the hands of fashion designer Reed Krakoff—who is the former creative director for Coach—and his wife, interior designer Delphine Krakoff. The couple bought the home in 2007 for $25 million and have made renovations since.

Designed by architect Arthur C. Jackson and built in 1917, the home has 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in 8,500-square-feet of living space. “Lasata” was a Native American name for “place of peace.”

According to the listing, the home has had “few owners over the past century.”
