MUMBAI (NewsRise) - Asian stocks ended the week higher, helped by Wall Street's record run and robust gains in Chinese lenders sparked by strong credit growth data.
The Nikkei Asia300 Index ended 0.1% lower 1,125.57 points Friday, but gained 1.1% for the week. China Construction Bank (CCB) jumped over 7% this week, Bank of China (BOC) added 5.6%, Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) advanced 8.4% and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) rose 3.4%. Lenovo Group tumbled almost 10% this week, while Singapore's DBS Group Holdings and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp shed about 2% each.
