Nike sneakers are almost always not "just sneakers." And sneakerheads all over the world are eagerly awaiting the news of when the next major Nike shoe is coming out. And it looks like the sports apparel manufacturer has just pinned down a date for the LeBron 13.

Ever since Nike's announcement about releasing a new shoe in the LeBron James signature line, fans of both Nike and the Cavaliers player have been painstakingly seeking out news about it. After photos of James sporting an unidentified shoe model at the Nike event last July 1, speculations surfaced that the said pair is indeed the LeBron 13.

The berry-colored pair, which The King sported at the Nike Basketball Academy, matched the catalog silhouettes of LeBron 13 leaked over the Internet. It also clearly had the Hex Zoom cushioning, which was previously reported as included in the new LeBron shoes.

Instagram user @2muchsol later confirmed that the berry-colored shoes spotted on LeBron is indeed the new iteration of the LeBron signature shoe. Fans kind of expected this already and were raring for a release date.

Popular sneaker retailer, Sole Collector, has just announced what fans of the LeBron line have been waiting for: LeBron 13 hits retail stores this Oct. 10. A pair will cost $220 and will have an initial colorway same to what was seen sported by the player in early July. Sole Collector also says that "a more straightforward red" colorway will be released on Oct. 24.

Nike hopes to regain the sneaker market as it recently faced tough competition from Under Armour, with its Curry One gaining a much needed boost when Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors ran away with the 2015 NBA Finals Championship. But the LeBron line has always been strong and has even proven its dominance when it came out on top in the recent shoe sales figures.

LBJ's Nike line has secured $340 million in sales, edging out Kevin Durant's which has garnered $195 million sales.
