Columbia Sportswear Co. (COLM) Has Spiked To A New High After Q2 Loss

Columbia Sportswear Co. (COLM) reported a second quarter loss of $0.09 per share after the bell Thursday, which was flat with the prior year result. Analysts expected a loss of $0.23 per share.

The company also increased its full year EPS forecast to between $2.25 and $2.35, from prior expectations of $2.15 to $2.25. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.24.

Columbia Sportswear has gapped open sharply higher Friday morning and is now up 8.62 at $71.26. The stock has soared past resistance and has set a new high for the year.
