Gold production at Pan African's (LON:PAF) Evander and Barberton mines for November will be affected by two suspensions to operations this month, it said, adding the issues were now resolved.

The Barberton suspension was by the South African health and safety inspectorate due to certain operating procedures and administrative processes pertaining to the Fairview lamp room, self-rescuers and gas monitors. At Evander, it concerned the lamp room.

The issues were resolved and the orders set aside.

"The issuance of these orders will impact gold production at Barberton and Evander for the month of November 2014, which is not quantified at this stage," the miner said in a brief statement.

Pan African continually strives to reduce accidents and to address any health and safety shortcomings, in an effort to operate the mines safely in a conducive environment, it added.

Pan African shares are unchanged at 12.25p.
