Now that Activision has re-obtained the license to the title, Deadpool will be fighting its way on to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in just a few months. GameStop announced on its Twitter page today that the super anti-hero game will be available starting on November 17.
Deadpool was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in June 2013, then removed from all digital storefronts on January 1, 2014 due to licensing issues. The game's original run was short-lived, but as of July 15, 2015 it is available for PC download on Steam.
Deadpool is an action game within a game full of guns, swords, abnormally large hammers and plasma guns. The plot is pretty simple: Deadpool threatens High Moon Studios in order to get them to develop "the most awesome game ever" featuring him. It's a big, flashy, comic book story that features a ton of violence and ends with a bunch of explosions.
Players are able to pick up the Deadpool video game digitally through Steam right now or physically for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers will be able to pick up the game starting November 17, just ahead of the upcoming 2016 movie.
