Finally, someone claims to be unimpressed with Odell Beckham Jr.’s famed one-handed grab last season. And it is one of his Giant teammates.
At least that is the premise of a humorous new Foot Locker commercial starring Beckham and Victor Cruz.

The ad begins with Beckham welcoming Cruz back from injury and Cruz greeting him with compliments and a smile. What Beckham doesn’t know is that Cruz is dishing out insults through an inner monologue. It portrays Cruz as a jealous veteran and pokes fun at Beckham’s hairstyle and highlight-reel ability.

“If you think about it, we’re lucky to be teammates,” Beckham says.
“Not as lucky as when you made that one-handed catch,” Cruz says to himself.
Cruz, a Pro Bowler in 2012, missed most of last season with a torn patellar tendon, while Beckham took the league by storm and won Offensive Rookie of the Year honors despite playing in just 12 games.
Cruz missed Wednesday’s practice with a calf injury, although coach Tom Coughlin said it was likely caused by dehydration and was not connected to Cruz’s knee. Beckham was sidelined due to dental work.
