Year-long series to highlight business practices that deliver strong financial returns while also benefitting customers, employees and communities

The Washington Post’s in-house creative agency WP BrandStudio and Bank of America have partnered to produce a year-long series showcasing how responsible growth strategies are helping customers and communities, while also generating strong financial performance for shareholders.

Through several multimedia content experiences, the series will highlight how corporations around the world are shifting towards incorporating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into how they run their business. Topics featured in the program will include the evolving culture of corporations to prioritize long-term success over short term profit, the changing expectations of investors who want companies to align with their values, private sector investment in large scale challenges like climate change, employee-friendly workplace policies, small business investment and community lending.

“We are thrilled to partner with Bank of America, a leading driver of responsible growth, to collaborate on a series of stories examining what it means to be a responsible company today and how that leads to both long-term corporate success and sustainable economic growth,” said Jed Hartman, chief revenue officer of The Washington Post.

In a featured piece, Bank of America Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan describes the financial services industry’s responsibility to drive economic growth and how Bank of America is focused on making decisions in the interest of customers and clients.

Jim Mahoney, Corporate Communications and Public Policy Executive at Bank of America, added: “We know we have to grow, and we are. But we’re doing it with a customer-driven focus that reduces risk. Just as important, growth has to be sustainable over time, which comes from how we support our teammates, what we do for the communities we serve, and our governance practices. Our partnership with The Washington Post illustrates the positive impact our strategy has on the individuals and communities we serve.”
