Kvyat, Sainz downplay Red Bull exit fears

Both men are expected to stay at their respective teams in 2016, but doubts about Red Bull's presence continue as its teams have so far failed to secure engine deals after parting company with Renault.

Red Bull driver Kvyat said he preferred to focus on his job rather than worry about the future.

"There have been some rumours in the media and obviously it is not a nice thing to hear about your own team," said Kvyat ahead of the Russian Grand Prix.

"But my job is first of all to drive the car I have as fast as I can and that is what I want to focus on.

"The other things that are hanging in the air are up to other people. I trust them 100 percent and I rely on them for this."

Toro Rosso's Sainz said he was confident the teams will be on the grid next season.

"To be honest, I don't know – and I am not really taking care of this matter too much," Sainz said about his future.

"We are here to drive and our job is to extract maximum performance of the car.

"The team is working hard now more than ever to find something for next year, but the team needs to get on and design rear of car and it is getting late.

"I have full trust they will come to a solution and agreement.

"Red Bull has done a lot for the sport and F1, and will end up having a decent engine and package for next year."

He added: "We just need to wait, be patient and trust Red Bull will take the right decision, they will do the best for the brand, both teams. And there is nothing we can do.

"We are sitting here waiting but having 100% confidence on them and, as I said before, Red Bull has done a lot for F1 and F1 will give them a bit back what they have done for them. With all this, I am pretty sure that next year we can be here."
