WHIPPANY, N.J., Sept. 27, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stronghold Technologies and Galves Auto Price List have entered into an alliance that incorporates Galves' used vehicle appraisal information into Stronghold's DealerAdvance(tm) mobile sales system for automotive retailing.
Auto dealerships have been utilizing Galves Auto Price List as a primary source for used vehicle wholesale pricing since 1957. Stronghold's partnership with Galves will extend the convenience and use of Galves by making this reference available from a handheld computer that sales staff will use in conjunction with Stronghold's DealerAdvance application to assist customers with their research on used vehicles.
Stronghold's groundbreaking mobile application, DealerAdvance, uses wireless, handheld devices that have the memory and processing power of a PC, to store, manage and distribute information in real time. With DealerAdvance, sales consultants can also gather customer needs and contact data electronically; check new and used car inventory; check credit ratings; register customers into the dealership's database for follow-up; and issue reports of all customer information and product queries on the spot.
While there are a number of resources on new and used vehicles available to the public through the Internet, auto dealerships often obtain competitive product information through paid subscriptions to independent, third-party information providers such as Galves.
