Talks between Manchester City and Wolfsburg over the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne are ongoing but close to completion, according to reports.

The Citizens are attempting to push through a move for the Belgian attacker from the Bundesliga side.

Ed Aarons, deputy news editor of Guardian sport, tweeted that a ‘private jet is on standby’.

City must believe that a deal is near to have put such measures in place and it’s expected that they will seal the transfer before the window closes.

This will be De Bruyne’s second Premier League stint following an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea.
