Plymouth Resident is New Mall Manager at Simon Property Group's Square One Mall
Thomas Smith has assumed the position of Square One Mall's Mall Manager
Simon Property Group Inc., the global leader in retail real estate ownership, management and development, announced today that Thomas Smith has assumed the position of Mall Manager at Square One Mall in Saugus, Mass.
In his role as Mall Manager at Square One Mall, Smith will manage day-to-day operations, create and implement annual operating budgets, oversee local leasing and lease administration, and manage maintenance, housekeeping, security, marketing and guest services.
Smith has 30 years of retail experience and comes to Square One Mall from Emerald Square Mall in Attleboro, Mass., where he also served as Mall Manager. Prior to that, he managed three Simon malls in Central Massachusetts for close to two years: Solomon Pond Mall, Auburn Mall and Greendale Mall. He also served as Mall Manager for The Mall at Chestnut Hill (now The Shops at Chestnut Hill) from 1999 to 2007, where he performed a key role in a $7.2 million mall renovation. His retail management career began in 1985 as General Manager at The Hanover Mall.

Smith is also a Certified Shopping Center Manager, Certified Shopping Center Marketing Director and Associate Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He currently resides in Plymouth, Mass.
