WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) is proud to announce that Booz Allen Hamilton, Penske Truck Rental, ManTech International, The Jeffrey Carlton Charitable Foundation, and Captain Derek Herrera, USMC (Ret.), will be honored at the 2015 Mission: ABLE Awards. The awards ceremony will take place on October 6, 2015, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- The Sustain: ABLE Award—Booz Allen Hamilton, for long-term dedication to supporting veterans through financial assistance, pro bono projects and volunteer hours.
- The Achieve: ABLE Award—Penske Truck Rental, for financial support of Paralyzed Veterans’ mission to ensure that disabled veterans have access to health care, benefits and jobs.
- The Employ: ABLE Award—ManTech International, for leadership to end unemployment in the disabled veterans community.
- The Unstop: ABLE Award—Captain Derek Herrera, USMC (ret.), for inspiration demonstrating how adaptive sports and new technologies can improve quality of life for veterans with disabilities.
- The Humanitarian Award—The Jeffrey M. Carlton Trust, recognizing an outstanding contribution to help our disabled heroes live the lives their valor merits.

The annual awards ceremony raises funds to benefit Paralyzed Veterans programs and services, all of which are provided free to veterans. Last year a record-breaking $900,000 from corporate supporters was raised in support of the mission through the Mission: ABLE Awards.
