A Port Crane man was driving drunk when he crashed his motorcycle early Sunday morning in the Town of Fenton, police said.

Rusty Baker, 35, had his driver’s license revoked for prior DWI convictions at the time of the wreck on Route 7B just after 2 a.m., according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. He lost control of his 1999 Yamaha motorcycle while traveling near the intersection of Nowlan Road at high speed, police said.

The crash left him with a broken arm and other minor injuries, police said, and he spent several days in the hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies have charged Baker with felony counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation, as well as operating a vehicle without an interlock device. He was also ticketed for refusal of a breath screening device, unlicensed operation, operating out of class, speed unreasonable, and moving from lane unsafely.

He was arraigned in Fenton Town Court and released to await further court proceedings.
