Elkhart RV companies ranked among nation's top manufacturers

ELKHART — IndustryWeek, a national trade publication, ranked two Elkhart-based recreational vehicle companies in its annual list of the nation's best 50 manufacturers.

Thor Industries, which manufactures RVs, is ranked fifth. And Drew Industries, a RV supplier that is the parent of Lippert Components, is ranked 11th. The only other Hoosier manufacturer to make the list was Lafayette-based Wabash National Corp.

The top three companies on the list are Apple Inc., Polaris Industries Inc. and Deluxe Corp. To compile the list, the Cleveland-based publication said it considers company factors that include total revenue, growth and inventory turnover. The full list is available at http://goo.gl/WOyvIC.
