SAN FRANCISCO--()--Counsyl, a DNA testing and genetic counseling service, today announced that Scott Hayworth, MD, and Jack Goldstein, PhD, have joined the Counsyl Board of Directors.

Dr. Scott Hayworth trained as an OB-GYN and is currently President and CEO of CareMount Medical, P.C. (formerly Mount Kisco Medical Group, P.C.). In his 18 years as President and CEO, Scott has transformed the medical group from 40 physicians and 3 locations to 550 physicians and 41 locations. He has served major leadership roles including Chairman of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and the National Executive Board of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is currently on the board of a number of private equity-backed companies, a Senior Advisor at Arsenal Capital, and an Associate Dean at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Jack Goldstein’s most recent operating role was as President and COO of Chiron Corporation, which had approximately $2B in revenues with a market cap of $9.5B and included biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and transfusion diagnostics. Chiron was acquired by Novartis in a multi-billion dollar transaction in 2006. Prior to this, Jack was CEO of Applied Imaging and held several executive management positions at J&J, including President of Ortho Diagnostic Systems. He has served on the boards of Illumina, Orasure, and Immucor and is currently on the board of Accuray and Chairman of the Board of OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals.
