Saturday 27 May

7.10am: Over in Spain, Lionel Messi is furious at Barcelona for failing to sign Bernardo Silva.

Manchester City announced the former Monaco star was joining for £43m.

That’s left Messi fuming about the lack of transfer activity from Barcelona, according to Don Balon.

Remind me again... who runs that club? Is it Lionel himself?

5.10am: So who could Liverpool sign? Well, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita, apparently.

Jurgen Klopp has made it his mission to sign a midfielder.

And according to the Daily Mirror, the Reds are prepared to break the bank and pay £50million for his services.

It is said they will even meet his £120,000-a-week wage demands.

3.40am: Michael Keane is confident he is heading back to Manchester United, reports claim.

And according to The Independent, he has told friends that he thinks Old Trafford is his next destination.

The Red Devils were eager to sign the midfielder when Sir Alex Ferguson managed the club in 2012.

And Sport Witness claim the French giants are prepared to sell the Brazil international providing they receive an offer as close to £40million as possible.

United, it is believed, have made enquiries and Jose Mourinho wants a contingency plan in place if Chelsea’s Willian proves unobtainable.

Friday May 26

10.45pm: Antoine Griezmann has dismissed rumours he will be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.

"All the rumours are unfounded," he tweeted.

"I'm always Atletico. My direction will be established after discussions with my representatives."

10.15pm Claudio Ranieri has denied being approached for the vacant Leeds United manager's job.

"I don't know anything about this Leeds story. I haven't spoken to them," Ranieri said.

"I prefer not to speculate."

9.15pm Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez has admitted his ambition is to play for Barcelona.

"Obviously I would like to play for Barcelona," he told Spanish radio station Cadena SER.

"It is a huge compliment [to be linked with them]. Who doesn't want to play for a club as big as Barca?

"Everyone wants to be part of a team like that, they're one of the world's elite."

8.45pm: Manchester United want to make four key summer signings - the same as last year.

Jose Mourinho signed Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic last summer.

And this year he is keen on a centre-back, central midfielder, a winger who can play both sides and a striker.

Mourinho is expected to splash out huge sums on Antoine Griezmann and could break the £300million barrier.

8pm: City new-boy Bernardo Silva will wear the number 20 next season - suggesting Eliaquim Mangala has no future at the club.

Silva becomes City's first signing of the summer but deals for Kyle Walker and Bernard Mendy could also be wrapped up soon as Pep Guardiola undergoes a huge overhaul of his squad.

18.55: Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva.

“It feels great. To be honest I’m now at one of the best teams in the world. To be part of this club and to have this opportunity is great," Silva said.

"I’m very happy to be part of Manchester City’s team and I look forward to trying to do my best to help the team reach their goals."

18.45: Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is keen to return to his former club Deportivo La Coruna, his agent has confirmed.

Speaking to Spanish broadcaster Cope Coruna, Rodrigo Fernandez said: "I have always said to club president Tino Fernandez that the first option would always be Deportivo.

"[They are] the first club we would speak with."

18.15: Bernardo Silva is set to join Manchester City fom Monaco. The Portugal star is in Manchester for a medical ahead of the move.

The transfer could be wrapped up this weekend and will see City beat Manchester United to the first signing of the summer.

United have been keen on Silva but City have pipped them. City are also expected to sign Kyle Walker in the coming weeks.

16.50: Giuseppe Marotta admits Manchester United could have signed Paul Pogba for almost half the price - had Juventus inserted a buyout clause in his contract.

Pogba joined United last summer for £89million but Marotta admits had Juve insisted on a buyout clause when negotiating a contract with Pogba the price would have been far lower.

"Manchester United could have signed Paul Pogba for just £52million had Juventus inserted a buy-out clause in his contract," said Marotta.

"The value of a player is determined when you sell him.

"Had we put a clause in Pogba's contract three years before we sold him, €60 million would have been a good number. But we now sold him for €110m.

"Buy-out clauses are madness. I will never insert one in a player's contract.

"A high clause is not an advantage. It puts you in a vulnerable position instead. I don't know if Napoli would have sold Gonzalo Higuain for €90 million without the clause."

16:40: Antoine Griezmann has further fuelled speculation he will join Manchester United this summer after being pictured with a Red Devils fan in Boston.

The Atletico Madrid striker was out in the USA to watch the Boston Celtics take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

But he can't seemingly escape any link with United after a cheeky fan took the opportunity to pose for a photograph with the France international.

15:25: Jose Mourinho will look to sign four players this summer and Manchester United will give him at least £200million to do so.

Antoine Griezmann is the Red Devils' No.1 target and would cost them around £90million to activate his release clause.

They also want to bring in a centre-back, midfielder and a full-back.

Mourinho has identified the players he wants to bring to the club and has back-up options if their first-choice deals fall through.

Lucas MouraGETTY

Manchester United reportedly want to sign PSG ace Lucas Moura

15.00: Steven Gerrard insists top players will want to sign for Liverpool - because of Jurgen Klopp AND the lure of the Champions League.

And the former Liverpool ace and now academy coach admits even HE wants to be involved despite being 37.

Liverpool sealed fourth place in the Premier League on the final day of the seasons with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.

And Gerrard thinks things at Anfield are only going one way.

“If I'm a top player around Europe and Jurgen picks the phone up and I get offered the chance to play for this club, which is moving forward in every single department and has a world-class manager leading it, I'd be jumping at that opportunity," the former midfielder told the Liverpool Echo.

"I want to play for him and I am 37 next week! For me, it's such an exciting project. Not just because we qualified for the Champions League but the whole project.

"I went out there to play in a friendly and I felt like it was the World Cup final. That's what he gives players."

15:00: Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru says he is ready to move to the Premier League.

The Nigerian striker has been linked with the Gunners this week and the KAS Eupen striker says he dreams of playing in England.

"Everything is possible. Anderlecht, Club Brugge, England. I still haven't decided," he told reporters in Belgium.

"I have had fun in Belgium, but I have always dreamed of the Premier League."

Asked whether he believed he was ready, he replied: "'Believe' is not the right word. I know I'm ready. I'm sure of that."

Antonio ValenciaTWITTER

Antonio Valencia has signed a contract extension at Manchester United

14:30: Manchester United are confident in keeping Real Madrid target David de Gea at the club this summer.

The Spain goalkeeper had been heavily linked witn a return to Madrid, after previously playing for city rivals Atletico.

But the addition of Champions League football, which has boosted each star's wages at Old Trafford, has put United in a stronger position of keeping the star.

Madrid initially tried to sign De Gea in 2015 but a deal fell through at the last minute of the transfer window.

14:00: Manchester United have made contact with PSG over a deal to sign Lucas Moura.

United manager Jose Mourinho is considering his transfer options ahead of the summer window opening.

Moura is said to be on the boss' wish list and Sport Witness claim the winger's 19 goals this season have caught the eye.

United are said to have made their interest known to PSG, although Chelsea ace Willian remains their priority in that position.

13:55: Newcastle star Dan Barlaser is being eyed by Turkish club Besiktas.

Barlaser, 20, played just twice for Toon all season in his debut campaign for the club.

Turkish newspaper Fotospor claim Besiktas are keen on a loan spell for the Englishman.

He boasts one England U18s cap but has made appearances for Turkey U16s and U17s.

He qualifies for Turkey through his Jack.

13:06: MANCHESTER UNITED DONE DEAL

Antonio Valencia has signed a contract at Manchester United - just two days after helping the Red Devils win the Europa League.

United confirmed the Ecuadorian, 31, has signed a contract extension until 2019.

The former Wigan star has become one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, having started out on the wing.

Valencia said: "Manchester United has been my life since 2009 and I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract.

"Wednesday evening provided the one trophy this club had never won and it was a true honour for me to captain the team for the final.

"I would like to thank the manager for the confidence he has given me this season and I am sure that we will be challenging on all fronts next season.

"I would also like to say a big thank you to my family, my team-mates and, of course, the fans, for their amazing support."

Marotta says Juventus refused to grant Paul Pogba a release clause

12:52: WEST HAM DONE DEAL

Pablo Zabaleta has joined West Ham on a two-year deal.

Manchester City released defender Zabaleta this week, ending his nine-year stint at the club.

The 32-year-old joins the London Stadium club, having signed his contract today.

12:17: Juventus director Beppe Marotta says he would never have inserted a release clause into Paul Pogba's contract.

Manchester United paid a world-record transfer fee of £89million for Pogba last summer.

And Marotta revealed the Old Trafford club could have got the France international way cheaper had a clause been inserted.

“It’s madness, I’ll never put one on a player," Marotta told Tuttosport.

"It’s not an advantage, it puts you in a weak position.

“If I’d put a clause on Pogba we’d have said £52m (€60m) was good, but then we sold him for £89m (€110m)."

11:40: Paul Pogba has dropped a huge hint that Antoine Griezmann could be playing alongside him at Manchester United next season.

Pogba posted a video to Twitter of himself mimicking Griezmann’s famous 'Hotline Bling' celebration, along with the caption: “Next season…”

The French striker cast further doubt over his future at Atletico Madrid last week after admitting he is "ready to go" in order to win trophies.

11:30: Manchester United are confident of keeping David de Gea, reports claim.

The Spanish stopper has been linked with a move to La Liga champions Real Madrid, but United’s Champions League qualification has altered the situation.

The Red Devils will offer De Gea a better wage and have the advantage of competing in Europe's elite club competition.

"I think it has strengthened (being in the Champions League) their hand and there are a couple of reasons for that," Sky Sports journalist James Cooper said.

"If you look at the last time Real Madrid came calling, the dynamic was very different then. He had a year left on his contract, there were rumblings and of course Manchester United weren't in the Champions League, they weren't at the top table in Europe.

"They are now, he has two years left on his contract plus the option of another year and seems settled in Manchester United.”

11:15: Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has handed in a transfer request sparking a transfer frenzy.

Aubameyang, 27, has enjoyed another sensational season, netting 39 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.

But his time with the Bundesliga giants looks to be coming to an end, according to German publication Bild.

The Sun claim Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all battling for his signature, that is likely to cost somewhere in the region of £59m.

11:00: Manchester City continue to revamp their squad after announcing four more players will leave the Etihad this summer.

City will not extend the contracts of defenders Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna, midfielder Jesus Navas and goalkeeper Willy Caballero as the quartet will leave the club during the summer.

They join Pablo Zabaleta, who said his goodbyes after their penultimate Premier League win over West Brom last week.

10:45: Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru insists he’s ready for the challenge of Premier League football.

Sky Sports claim the Gunners have opened talks to sign the Nigerian sensation, who has a £6.8m release clause in his contract.

And Onyekuru has thrown fuel on the transfer flames after revealing he’s always dreamed of a move to England.

Quizzed whether he was ready for a high-profile move, he told Belgian outlet DHnet: "'Believe' is not the right word. I know I'm ready. I'm sure of that.

“Everything is possible. Anderlecht, Club Brugge, England… I still haven't decided.

“I have had fun in Belgium, but I have always dreamed of the Premier League.”

Andrea BelottiGETTY

Manchester United want to sign Andrea Belotti as part of a £300m spend

10.09am: Manchester United are willing to spend up to £300MILLION this summer to compete for trophies at home and abroad, according to reports.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was handed a £150m transfer budget in his first year at the club.

And United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is ready to sanction DOUBLE that transfer spend to make sure Mourinho can achieve his goals.

And the biggest area Mourinho wants to strengthen is his strike force, with THREE targets being lined up to bolster United's forward line.

Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti are all on his radar and bids for the trio will be forthcoming this summer.

The Daily Mail claim United are also chasing Michael Keane.

9am: Everton are prepared to pay £15.6million for AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang, according to reports.

Niang scored two goals during his six-month loan spell at Watford this season.

The 22-year-old is available, with Milan boss Vincenzo Montella keen to sell in order to bring in a new forward.

And Sportitalia claim a deal with the Toffees could be struck this summer.

Everton look set to lose Romelu Lukaku in the transfer window and are lining up attacking replacements.

Wayne Rooney says Everton would be the only Premier League side he would join if he leaves Manchester United this summer.

And Swansea's midfield playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson is also being chased by the Goodison Park club.

Eric DierGETTY

8.55am: Manchester United want to sign Eric Dier, who is unhappy at Tottenham.

United manager Jose Mourinho is seeking a long-term successor to Michael Carrick.

Dier would cost the Red Devils around £40million.

And The Times claim a deal could happen this summer, with Dier unhappy at being made to play in defence for parts of last season.

It is claimed he wants guarantees over his future position in the Spurs XI, with Mourinho ready to offer him a regular spot in central midfield.

Philippe CoutinhoSPORT

Sport's interview with Tite on Philippe Coutinho's future

8:40am: Alan Shearer has told BBC Radio Five Live he thinks Wayne Rooney will return to Everton in the summer.

Rooney revealed a decision on his future would be made in the next few weeks after struggling to feature regularly for Manchester United this season.

He said: "My guess would be an emotional return to where it all started, Everton."

8.25am: More from Sport's interview with Brazil manager Tite.

He has urged Philippe Coutinho and Neymar to link up at Barcelona before the World Cup next summer.

"In Liverpool, Coutinho plays for the left, but the important thing is that he performs the same function for the national team," he said.

"If I were Jurgen Klopp or Barca I would fight in every way to keep my man, and to sign the other!"

Iker CasillasGETTY

Liverpool are not interested in signing Iker Casillas

7.30am: Brazil manager Tite has urged Philippe Coutinho to quit Liverpool and move to Barcelona.

Tite spoke to Spanish newspaper Sport about the Reds star's future.

Asked about a move to Barcelona, Tite said: "I'm always talking hypothetically, let's make that clear.

"There have Sergio Busquets and the two midfielders, what in Italy they call 'mezzalas' (half wingers/attackers) that are Rakitic and Iniesta, that are the two thinkers of the side.

"Coutinho can play in that role. He is an ideal player for Barca."

7am: Liverpool's interest in Iker Casillas appears to have ended as quickly as it began.

Liverpool were said to be in for Casillas, 36, as manager Jurgen Klopp seeks a new goalkeeper.

Bookmakers even stopped running a market on the Spaniard heading to Anfield.

But the Liverpool Echo claim Klopp and the Reds board are 'baffled' by the rumours of Casillas' imminent arrival.

The club are said to have no plans whatsoever to land the Real Madrid legend, who is a free agent after leaving Porto.

Llorente shows off his fancy footwork during Swans training

Fernando LlorenteGETTY

Swansea's Fernando Llorente says he would not refuse a chance to return to Spain

6.30am: Fernando Llorente admits he is open to a return to Spain following his debut season at Swansea.

Llorente's 15 Premier League goals helped Swansea survive the drop this season.

But the 32-year-old admits he is drawn by the lure of La Liga.

"I have a year of contract [remaining] and I am very happy," he said.

"It is logical that offers could arrive but we will see.

"Let’s see what can happen in football. I hope things go well, if I stay or if I’m going.

"I will never say no to a return to Spain."

5.15am Liverpool will reportedly have to fork out in excess of £50million to convince RB Leipzig into parting with Naby Keita.

The Bundesliga midfielder, 22, is said to be one of Jurgen Klopp's top summer targets, up alongside Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.

But following their qualification for the Champions League, Leipzig are intent on not losing any of their star players.

Despite this, The Times claim Liverpool could force the German outfit to reconsider over Keita if they bid somewhere between £50-60m.

That would subsequently smash the Reds' transfer record, but the Guinea international is rated very highly.

Wilfried ZahaGETTY

Wilfried Zaha will not be joining Tottenham this summer after signing a new contract with Palace

3.20am Diego Costa will reportedly cost Tianjin Quanjian a world-record £152million.

The Chelsea striker has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this season.

But the Daily Mail claim Chelsea are set to receive more than what they are expecting for his transfer.

It is suggested his £76m price tag will be subject to a Chinese FA (CA) 100 per cent 'tax' on the Chinese Super League clubs' big-money transfers.

This means Costa's £76m fee would be doubled and would shatter Paul Pogba's £89m move from Juventus to Manchester United.

The report adds Costa will earn £620,000-a-week after tax.

12.55am Wilfried Zaha has ended Tottenham's hopes of signing him this summer by committing his long-term future to Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old winger has been linked with a £30m move to Spurs, but he won't be leaving Selhurst Park.

A new five-year deal has been confirmed after Zaha and Palace chairman Steve Parish held more talks.

"Palace is in my heart and I don't think the story is over,” Zaha said. “I spoke with Steve and I think I still have more to give this Club.

“The supporters have been amazing and I want us to do more than just stay in the League next year.

“I would like to thank the Chairman for being a big part of my journey and his fellow owners for backing me and rewarding my progression. Let's do this!"

Thursday May 25

10.45pm Real Madrid are reportedly in no rush to sign David De Gea this summer.

Spanish outlet El Confidencial claim Real are comfortable with Keylor Navas as their No 1 and are not forcing through De Gea’s move.

However, the goalkeeper’s agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly reassured him a deal will still go through.

10.10pm Jose Mourinho appears to have ruled out a move for Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva.

Speaking to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Mourinho said: “Will Bernardo Silva be with us next season? I don’t think so, honestly.

"But you never know, good players are always welcome here."

9.15pm Bertrand Traore has revealed he will soon sit down for crunch talks with Chelsea about his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

The forward, who has been on loan wth Ajax this season, said: "I will go back to Chelsea and have a talk – we will see.

“That’s my hope [to be at Chelsea next season]. That was the key when I came to Ajax – play as many [games] as I could, do well, and try to go back to Chelsea."

8.30pm Chelsea have given permission to Brighton and Newcastle United to speak to striker Tammy Abraham.

The 19-year-old turned heads in the Championship last season with Bristol City and is wanted by Brighton and Newcastle.

The Telegraph claim both clubs are going head-to-head, but Chris Hughton's side have the edge.

6.10pm Juventus are willing to take on Manchester United and Manchester City for Monaco’s Fabinho.

Reports in Italy suggest the Serie A champions are preparing a £25million bid plus add-ons for the midfielder.

However, Juve have their work cut out to sign the Brazilian after he admitted earlier in the year he has a soft spot for the Premier League.

“I have a contract until 2021, but the Premier league is a league that interests me and maybe one day I will come and play here,” Fabinho said.

5.05pm: Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen says he will consider his future in January if he is unable to break into the team regularly.

"I have not thought about listening to offers, I'm fine here," the 28-year-old told Spanish newspaper Sport.

"If I play very little, we will see in the winter transfer window, but for the moment I am not thinking about anything.

"I'm not happy if I don't play. When I arrived I knew that I would have to adapt myself to many new things."

4.50pm: Newcastle have made a significant offer for Leganes defender Gabriel Pires, it has been claimed.

Gabriel, 23, began his career at Juventus - but didn't make an appearance for the Turin-based giants.

He has a £6m release clause at Leganes.

According to Spanish news outlet Diaro Gol, the Toon have lodged a bid to bring him to St James’ Park.

3.55pm: Wayne Rooney, 32 in October, has dropped a big hint he could be leaving Manchester United.

Asked if he had already made up his mind up, Rooney said: “More or less, yeah. I’ve got to make a decision and I’ll do that over the next few weeks with my family while I’m away on holiday and, honestly, as soon as I know what’s going on then, I’m sure you will.

“There’s lots of offers on the table, both in England and abroad, and really that’s what I have to decide on.”

Asked if you could play for another Premier League club, he said: “I’ve played for two Premier League clubs and I’ve always said they’re the only two Premier League clubs I’ll play for.”

3.35pm: It's a DOUBLE exit!

City have announced Jesus Navas’ four-year spell at the club has come to an end.

The Spanish winger, who joined in the summer of 2013 from La Liga side Sevilla, has reached the end of his contract having made 77 league starts in sky blue plus 46 appearances from the bench, scoring four goals.

In addition, the 31-year-old also made more than 50 appearances in all other competitions, claiming four goals in the League Cup.

Having won both the UEFA Cup and the Copa del Rey twice in his native Spain, Navas enjoyed plenty more success once he moved to City.

3.05pm: Manchester City have confirmed Gael Clichy will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Clichy spent six years at the Etihad Stadium, winning two Premier League titles and two League Cups.

He was part of the 2012 side that famously won City’s first league title in 44 years and played 90 minutes of the League Cup final win over Liverpool at Wembley in 2016.

He made over 200 appearances for City, scoring three goals.

Sky Sports are reporting that Michael Carrick is in line for a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old has won the lot during his time at Old Trafford and could now add to his trophy haul next season.

1.55pm: From the lower leagues…

Chesterfield have signed striker Gozie Ugwu following his departure from Woking.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal after his contract with the Cards expired.

Ugwu, who began his career at Reading, scored 21 goals in 49 appearances last season for the Conference club. He has also played for Dunfermline, Yeovil and Wycombe.

"I have been very impressed with his physical attributes and his ability to score goals," said Chesterfield boss Gary Caldwell.

1.45pm: BREAKING NEWS... Garry Monk has RESIGNED as Leeds boss.

A club statement read: “Leeds United can confirm that we have received Garry Monk’s resignation from his role as First Team Manager.

“We are shocked and disappointed by Garry’s decision but his resignation has been reluctantly accepted by Chairman Andrea Radrizzani.

”Andrea made it clear to the media yesterday that his intention was to exercise the Club's option to extended the Manager's contract for another 12 months and immediately begin negotiations for a longer term deal."

Could he be on his way to the Premier League?

1.25pm: N’Golo Kante has today revealed all on his move to Chelsea - and why he joined last summer.

He said: “It was a very difficult decision. With Leicester, we won the league and had a very good season but I think for me, it was a step forward in my career to join Chelsea and I am happy to have joined the club. We have had a very good season and I’m happy about that.”

1:10pm: Good news for Manchester United fans.

Sky Sports are saying the Red Devils are confident of fending off Real Madrid to keep star asset David De Gea.

Real want the Spain international to replace Keylor Navas.

But now they have Champions League football, the Red Devils feel they can persuade him to stay at Old Trafford.

12:40pm: Is Jose Mourinho hinting a new number 7 could be on his way to Old Trafford? Antoine Griezmann, perhaps?

He had this to say in an interview last night: “The No.11 has to know that shirt was Ryan Giggs’ shirt and the No. 7 must know that was Best and Beckham and Cristiano’s shirt, they have to know this and be proud of it but they cannot be over pressurised by it. There is not another Giggs, there is not another Scholes, there is not another Rio, there is not another Best. They have to be what they are and they have to cope with it. It’s part of my job that I have to be responsible for.”

TRANSFER NEWS: Manchester United want Antoine Griezmann

12.20pm: Ander Herrera says Antoine Griezmann has the ability to take over from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the world's best player.

Herrera told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser: "Antoine Griezmann is a brilliant player, a phenomenon.

"He is a star and all the teams in the world would want him. However, Griezmann is still an Atletico Madrid player and I respect Atletico and their fans.

"I've said it in the past, after [Real Madrid's] Cristiano Ronaldo and [Barcelona's Lionel] Messi, he is in that group of those that can become their possible successors."

Herrera's United and Spain teammate Juan Mata also rolled out the welcome mat.

He said: "When I was at school a six out of 10 was considered OK. I would take that. Griezmann is a great player and I like great players. He has quality, he gets goals.”

12.15pm: Tottenham lead the race for Ross Barkley, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

The Everton midfielder looks set to leave the Toffees and Spurs are 5/4 favourites to sign him up this summer.

Ladbrokes spokesman Richard Marsh said: "The odds suggest Barkley is set to swap Toffees for Tottenham.

"And while Manchester United aren't front-runners for the Everton ace, it's a sure thing they'll be spending big elsewhere this summer."

United are 6/1 to do a deal.

12.05pm: Fabio Capello reckons Manchester United need more than Antoine Griezmann to make them great again.

He told the Daily Star: "Griezmann is a very good player. But what is his best position?

"He is not a striker. United need more than him. They have other areas in which to strengthen.

"Chelsea are so strong and they need to catch them. It will be difficult."

11.45am: Paul Pogba has dropped a major hint that Antoine Griezmann is on his way to Manchester United.

During an Instagram live video the United midfielder copied the Atletico Madrid striker's 'Hotline Bling' goal celebration and asked fans "Who is that?"

On the United team bus a bit later Pogba then said: “Griezmann is not here… yet!”

Express Sport understands Griezmann is United's No1 target for the summer transfer window.
