1. The big announcement

The playoff pairings will be announced at 8 p.m. Saturday on Comcast SportsNet. They'll also be posted at football.dailyherald.com. Times and dates of the first-round games will be released Monday.

2. Lights, camera, action

Our own Kevin Schmit will be on Comcast SportsNet Saturday night to analyze the playoff pairings.

3. Putting itself in position

Rallying for a 28-13 win over Streator, Lisle must wait to see if it makes the playoffs at 5-4. The Lions finished with 36 playoff points - opponents' combined wins. Last year's cutoff was 35.

4. Making history

Earning its third straight shutout and sixth of the season, IC Catholic Prep's 49-0 win over Fenton gave the Knights their first 9-0 season. The Knights enter the playoffs ranked first in Class 3A.
