Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (CBRL) Climbed After Q3 Earnings Beat

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (CBRL) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $1.49 Tuesday morning, up from $1.23 last year. Analysts expected EPS of $1.37. Fourth quarter EPS is expected to be between $1.75 and $1.85. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.78. The company also increased its full year adjusted EPS forecast to between $6.60 and $6.70, from prior expectations of $6.40 to $6.50. Analysts are expecting EPS of $6.52.

Cracker Barrel gapped open higher Tuesday, but was range-bound for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by 6.76 at $146.55 on the highest volume of the year. The stock climbed to a month and a half high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
