    Obi Worldphone launches the Worldphone SF1 in India

    The Obi Worldphone SF1 supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB) and will be priced at Rs 11,999.

    NEW DELHI: Obi Worldphone launched the Obi Worldphone SF1 in the Indian market, after launching in UAE and Vietnam.

    The Worldphone SF1 is a dual band 4G LTE smartphone with unibody and 5-inch floating glass display paired with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for screen protection. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon and Adreno 405 GPU.

    John Sculley, Obi Worldphone co-founder and former head of Apple Inc. and Pepsi-Cola, said, “Obi has taken the best of Silicon Valley – creating a new standard for design, craftsmanship and performance, the SF1 seamlessly blends premium materials with the state-of-the-art technology to offer consumers an unmatched mobile experience at attractive prices.”

    “Our efficient cost structure and broad distribution combine to present a compelling value proposition that helps our customers achieve their aspirations,” Sculley added.

    The company tied up with San Francisco based design firm Design Ammunition to create the new phones, which will go on sale from December 7 on NDTV Gadgets360.

    The Obi Worldphone SF1 supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB) and will be priced at Rs 11,999 for 16 GB variant and Rs 13,999 for 32 GB variant.

    Obi has endeavored to integrate elegant design with high-end technology from Qualcomm, Dolby, Sony, Corning Incorporated, Google, MediaTek, Japan Display Inc. and Samsung to deliver a powerful performance.
