Hamburger Sparkasse, Germany's largest savings bank, with 140 branches and 5,000 employees, has extended its IT outsourcing partnership with Diebold Nixdorf for an additional seven years.
According to a press release, the renewal builds on a 2005 agreement between the two companies under which Haspa outsourced a significant portion of its IT operations to Diebold Nixdorf.
With the agreement, Diebold Nixdorf will support decentralized IT operations for approximately 6,000 workstations at Haspa, as well as the management of a self-service network of more than 800 systems, including cash management, network services, file and print services, server operation for a range of applications, middleware and database application management, and a user help desk.
In the future, Diebold Nixdorf also will support Haspa in the migration of its core banking system from SAP to OSPlus from Finanz Informatik, the IT service provider for the Sparkasse Finance Group. The project will include the establishment of a network infrastructure and new server landscape, the release said.
"This partnership has enabled us to ensure the consistent availability of our systems," Rudolf Hoyer, head of IT and organization at Haspa, said in the release. "In addition, Diebold Nixdorf has been supporting our efforts to further develop our technologies and infrastructure, as well as in reducing costs."
